John Ebner Painting Benefits Garden d’Lights

Colors of Winter by John Ebner

Acclaimed Northwest watercolor artist John Ebner painted “Colors of Winter” as a special benefit for this year’s Garden d’Lights at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. The natural winter scene emanates the warmth and colors of the season.

“My paintings are a contrast of soft and hard edges, warm and cool colors, light and dark values. My goal is to capture the mood and essence of the scene,” comments Ebner.

A signed, special edition giclee print will be available during Garden d’Lights for visitors and supporters to purchase. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society.

“Gardens and Art are a natural pairing,” says Gayle Picken of Gallery by the Bay who was responsible for connecting John Ebner with the BBGS. “And anyone who has seen John Ebner’s home and studio knows that he loves gardening just as much as painting.”

Ebner is a widely collected Northwest artist and represented by more than 60 galleries throughout the West Coast. He lives and works on Camano Island and opens his studio to visitors each year during the annual Mother’s Day Studio Tour in May.

The original painting ‘The Color of Winter’ will also be available for purchase at the Garden d’Lights show and will benefit the gardens. For information about the Garden d’Lights show, click here.
